Camps are a fun way to spend a few days learning about games, the game design process, game industry, etc. A lot of camps will have intense work for you to do but it’s all fun. Probably after you’re done you’ll be motivated to keep the rhythm going. Camps are another way for you to meet new people which can help you become a game designer and build relationships with other game designers, or people with the industry.
While there are many camps which will touch upon all the areas of the game design process, there are also a lot of camps which focus more in a specific area. Attending camps which only focus on a specific area (e.g. Art camp) is also very helpful as they’ll provide you with experience and knowledge which you can then bring into game design.
