Creating 2D Games With Unity

Unity is an engine known for having capabilities for creating great 3D games that will run even on mobiles. Some examples of 3D that used Unity are Samurai: Way of the Warrior, Samurai II: Vengeance, Shadowgun and Battlestar Galactica Online.

Although creating 3D games is not it’s only use. Many developers have proven that Unity is also a great tool for creating 2D games. Zombieville USA, Zombieville USA 2 and GLiD, which won the IGF student showcase award.

In this talk, Alex Schwartz and Yilmaz Kiymaz from Owlchemy Labs show how they developed the 2D game Snuggle Truck using Unity.
